Greetings, bloggers! This morning we woke up with some live music to the delicious smell of fresh crepes. They tasted even better, and we topped them with bananas, Nutella, and powdered sugar. After breakfast, there was a gorgeous rainbow over a nearby boat. Some of us kitted up and went for a dive and had fun drifting with the current down below. We saw lobsters, eels, and tons of colorful fish. Other folks stayed on board and worked on our first essay for student leadership class – an autobiography about our personal experiences as leaders and community members. Lunch was yummy chicken from a book of recipes from Grenada, a big salad, and bean burgers for the veggies. After lunch, we had time to get started on our group research projects for oceanography. Before dinner, we swam and showered, hung out on the deck and listened to music, and finished up our essays. Dinner was a huge pot of “rasta pasta” with eggplant, tomatoes, peppers, and corn. It was so spicy and delicious, thanks to chefs Petr, Will, and Sydney! Tonight during dinner, we did “high, low, kudos” and shared our lowlight for the day, our highlight for the day, and gave kudos to the person sitting next to us – the perfect warm and fuzzy way to end an off and on a rainy day. After clean up, we’ll have student leadership class, and tomorrow we will sail to St. Vincent, so stay tuned for all that’s in store!
