Location: St. Barths
Another luxurious morning in St. Barth. We had Arlo and Piper on the pancakes, and the stack was impressive. Next involved different directions. Some folks were successful in taxiing across the island for a scenic hike and swimming hole, or so Im told. Another taxi of intrepid adventurers attempted to reach the same destination; they were successful in reaching a stinky swamp. We should have known better when our taxi driver laughed at our destination choice and asked why we would want to go there. This less fortunate group wandered far and wide, maybe for days, and were eventually rescued before the worst (they found another taxi back across the island). The second taxi driver was amazed to find us where she did and said that shed never seen anyone walking where we were small wonder.
In the second chapter of the day things looked up. Fortunate and unfortunate adventurers alike were greeted with charcuterie on a picturesque beach. The water was warm, and after food, we swam and explored the bay, slightly sunburnt as a testament. Following the beach, we did our last shopping and patisserie in Gustavia.
Now, back on the ship, we hastened to batten the hatches and ready the ropes as we make for Staita by dawn. We go forward on the tails of Dramamine and the wind. Bonjour St. Barths.
