For Watch Team 1, our day started at 12:00 a.m. and underneath a lovely full moon! During our shift, Watson told numerous mind-bending and brain-stumping riddles while the rest of our team, Ruby, Eduardo, Chloe, Boston, Talia, Brendan, Mac, Mich, and I struggled to make the vaguest sense of his puzzles (we finally got one of them). During Watch Team 2s shift, Audrey paid Jesse five whole dollars to chug a large sprit without stopping, and Theo saw a false killer whale! After watch and one very long nap, it was lunch time, and our galley team (Lillian, Lukas, and Dan) made delicious bacon and goat cheese sandwiches. When lunch and cleanup were made, We all gathered in the salon for Oceanography and Marine Biology, where we learned about the tides and deep-sea organisms. As per usual, after classes we had free time, so while our wonderful galley team made dinner, Eliza beat Eduardo in chess three times, Chloe, Watson, and Mich hung out on the bowsprit, James and I practiced our chart plotting, all of Watch Team 3 (Max, Lil Mac, Cat, Luke, James, Theo, Grace N., Eliza, Ben, Smash) raced Tom in who could drop the forward staysail faster (Tom won), and Emma started a book! For dinner (which was superbly on time, thank you, Lillian), we had rice, sausage, and veggie bowls. To end the day, the question I asked for the Squeeze was, If you were captured by a group of cannibals, how would you like to be cooked? (some of the best answers were rotisserie style and turned into bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich). Finally, I miss all of my family and my friends at home (especially Stella!), and Happy Birthday to Nana!!
