Location: Trewangan, Indonesia

Immediately following breakfast, we motored off of the Benoa dock to begin our 50 nm motor to the island of Trawangan. It felt good to be on the water again after our days ashore – but our trip went incredibly fast as we were carried straight to Gili (Northwest of Bali) by a current. As we motored through the Lombok Straights, we crossed the Wallace Line. In Marine Biology class today, we discussed the beginning of the theory of evolution and how this exact location played a monumental role. We anchored off the shore of Trawangan before dinner and watched a beautiful sunset. Tomorrow we will go scuba diving and explore the shore.
