Location: 40NM of the west coast of Morocco
The highlight of last night’s watch was getting to see a hulking container ship. The rest of today was fairly simple, as we continued sailing past the west coast of Morocco on are way to Agadir. Meaning that today we followed the simple watch schedule of 4 hours on and 8 hours off. We had a brief reprieve with a marine bio lecture on sea turtles, as well as with a leadership class on societal privilege. On my watch afterward from 2-6pm, half of the watch team had their PSCT class. This left the rest of us under manned with shifting winds, a closing container ship wanting to cross are bow and rough waters. Obviously, this did not make for the most relaxing watch, but luckily, Ian was there to call up a few extra hands and keep the vessel sailing smoothly. It was definitely a more active watch with at least some excitement. Thus, with our final destination getting closer, it is only a matter of time before we head back toward the coast.
