Location: Havana, Cuba

After an eight-hour streak of a record-breaking zero knot traveling speed, we finally arrived to Havana early in the morning. It felt like we traveled back in time as we came up to the customs dock the backstreet boy’s songs were blasting, everyone was dancing and singing as we waited for customs to clear us through. After this unexpected experience, we moved our boat to another dock and had a thorough boat appreciation, which consisted of cleaning both above and below deck to get rid of all the salt from our passage. At the end of cleaning, everyone devoured the homemade pizza made by our chefs for the day: Orren, Oscar, and Annemarie. After working vigorously and gorging ourselves, most people took the middle of the day siesta. The rest of our day consisted of working on homework, shower time, and learning all about Havana.
