Location: Charlestown, Nevis

Great day after a quick passage. A+ work from watch team three! Everyone ended the day with a smile, too!

Further comments from our glorious Heather:
Wow, what a day! Everyone loves to sleep in, and this time, it was well-earned after our first passage and an overnight one at that! After a sunset sail raise in Antigua, we headed out to Nevis. Everyone had their first experience in watch teams, and some had a go at helming the boat, jibing, and dropping the sails. After a night of sail handling under the stars, we got all set up on the mooring ball (thanks, watch team 3 and friends!). Those still awake pitched in with putting the “boat to bed,” which we do each time we finish a passage to shift from sailing to our day-to-day mode. Those enjoying a bit of extra sleep came on deck to see a beautiful green jungle-covered volcano once they woke up. The afternoon consisted of taking Open Water scuba diving exams (everyone passed!!!! 🙂 and learning about scientific reading and writing. After a delightful dinner prepared by head chef Allie J., sous Corinne, and guest star Meghan, Thomas is super excited for the presentation put together by Olivia and Selin on the history, culture, and geography of Nevis that we all get to see after dinner tonight! Stay tuned for more info on our big Nevis adventures in the days to come.
