Location: Dominica
The day dawned calm and glassy over St. Pierre, Martinique. We upped anchor and motored out of the lee of the island before raising our sails and heading north towards the mountains of Dominica. It was a beautiful morning sail with a bit of swell and favorable winds. A few short squalls greeted us in Rousseau, our base in Dominica, for the next four days, but the skies soon cleared, providing a beautiful afternoon to anchor, put the boat away after the sail, and enjoy the cool water. The day was rounded off by Marine Biology class, an introduction to fishes and their biology.
