You’ll be happy to hear that today was sunshine and smiles. The weather was perfect for the divers finishing their open water certification, two fish-frenzy dives, and for the already certified crew to hit the beach for the morning. We are talking; smooth trunkfish, a giant hermit crab, a big ole family of razorfish, a million moon jellies, salps, and the teeny tiniest squid that Carolyn has ever seen in her big ole life. Beach party activities also included: snorkeling, water walks, rice cracker snacks, sand walks, and some (short) inland exploration. Special underwater tricks were developed for the former, as well as stone skipping by the ocean’s edge for the latter. Everyone is having lots of fun no matter what, from cleaning to knot-tying, even sunscreen applying! After supper, the diving students are taking their final exams, the results to be known tomorrow… After a tiring few days, everyone is more than ready for some sleep (and, for some, night anchor watch) swayed by Vela’s gentle roll and the BVIs sweet Caribbean breeze. demain!
