Hello readers,
Hope you are all swell. I was on morning watch with Dima. We watched the boat from 4:30 Am to 6:00 (so no worries, watch was in good hands) to make sure we didn’t do anything like float away or drift out into the sea! At around 7:00, we made the move from Savannah Bay to Mountain point, a short trip about 20 minutes are so. It was smooth sailing wind in your hair, sun on your skin the works. Today the people who are getting their Open Water diving certification went on two dives. In the morning, while they were diving, Laura, Natalie, Haley, Tia, and I went snorkeling. There was an underwater passage which, though at the beginning we were scared too, eventually went through, earning a few scrapes and scratches. The five of us came back to the boat and watched as our lovely chefs Dima, Abi, and Zoemade wonderful spring roll bowls. While we waited for the Open water divers to come back, Tom and Eduardo continued their chess matches (4-Tom 2-Eduardo), and the girls and I all talked about school and read. Once the open water divers came back, we had lunch! This break, however, was short-lived for them because they had another dive to partake in. While they went on their second dive Daniel, Dima, Abi, and Eduardo went snorkeling, and Zoe went scuba diving with Calum. Once the open water divers came back, we decided to start dinner. Dinner was made by yours truly, Duncan, Natalee, Laura, and Haley. We made chili, and Natalie and Laura made, a quote straight from everybody on vela, “the BEST cornbread I’ve ever had in my life.” Needless to say, it was a successsss!!!!!! Overall today was super productive and relaxing. It was full of laughter, saltwater, and flavor. 10/10
