Location: Spanish Town, Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands
I think that everyone aboard can agree that today was fantastic. The day began by motoring to Coral Gardens, with breakfast underway, where we dove our first dive of the day (Open Water 3 for most). The highlight was definitely exploring the sunken plane wreck. From there we moved Ocean Star to the Baths, and completed a dive at the Aquarium. This was the last step to Open Water certification, and was celebrated with Beaker’s brownie/cookie scuba cake after Mexican night. We also had the opportunity to explore the Baths, climbing rocks and wandering through caves, and bringing back fresh mangoes for breakfast tomorrow. MTE class followed dinner. Protocols for watches were covered after which the crew gathered in the salon for a historical sailing film.
