Location: Palau
Hello from the only Canadian on Argo this semester…
This morning Argo woke up to a rainy one, without a dry towel in sight. We had all four classes today, starting with oceanography, then marine biology, seamanship, and finally leadership. Leadership class was very eventful today. We took on leadership in different ways in groups. We had an egg drop challenge in the pouring rain testing what leadership method would work best. The only supplies we had to complete this challenge were a very limited amount of electrical tape and uncooked spaghetti noodles, and you may be shocked to hear not one egg survived the first drop. Many of our due dates and quizzes are in the next few days, so this day was a great time to also get a lot of work done. Today Sydnei was head chef and absolutely blew my mind away with some delicious food. Sadly Argo’s time in Palau is soon coming to an end as we are near our date of passage. So far, our time here has been unforgettable and will be cherished forever. The past 20 days have just flown past because there has yet to be a dull moment since day 1.
