Location: Gustavia, St. Barths
Today was a smooth and relaxing day which started out with cereal for breakfast and then an MTE class where we learned more about navigation. After class we had the chance to explore St. Barths for the day. It was nice to be able to enjoy the tasty pastries and coffee in the French island as well as the beaches in the surrounding area. Some of us walked to the airport where we could watch the airplanes land which was quite a sight to see. The planes have a short runway and they come down close to a hill which makes it unique to see. We visited the town near us called St. Jean and explored the shops and beaches around the area. Afterwards we enjoyed our fresh water showers, ate dinner, and had a class in oceanography. All in all, it was a great day being in St. Barths.
