Location: Underway to Madeira
I started off the morning with an early wakeup (boat standards) at 7:30 am for my 8 am watch. Watch went pretty smoothly, thanks to Xavier’s alien friend Pedro. To give a brief description, Xavier and I saw Pedro’s UFO a few weeks ago. Xavier was able to communicate with it telepathically; I, however, was not. I think it has to do something with being Hispanic but not being able to speak any Spanish. Anyways, Pedro can only speak Ecuadorian alien slang, so only Xavier can talk to He, She, They, whatever they aresomehow, we have adopted them into our watch as our guide to a safe passage. I think Pedro gave Rob some good luck as one of our fishing lines got hit. Rob was able to bring in a beautiful blue and green mahi mahi. Rob fileted the fish perfectly, and Anna did a short dissection for the students. After lunch, we had our oceanography exam and seamanship. In seamanship, we are starting to work on our Nav master. We just finished having lentil curry with a side of mahi mahi. I am almost at the end of my watch, so soon enough, I will be able to get some shuteye for my 4 am watch.
PS, these waves are massive. Someone must have upset Pedro!
