Location: Barbados

Hello from our new docking in Barbados! Today was jam-packed with diving, provisioning, and amazing food. After getting back into the groove of anchor watch, we had a pancake-and-bacon breakfast prepared by Vittoria. Emma, Henry, and Grant headed to shore to provision, and Nashota, Hannah K, and I headed over to the beach for our very first dive! We completed all our confined-water skills in beautiful, crystal-clear water. We headed back to Vela and moved her to her new home for the next few days at the yacht club dock. Were all so excited to be walking distance from the yacht club, beach, and have some anchor watch-less nights. After lunch, the certified divers went for a dive, and Emma came back with FRESH FOOD! We were all so excited to see the ramen, bagels, and hordes of apples, oranges, and bananas. I almost cried seeing Tostitos. The open water divers (Nashota, Hannah, and I) went for a quick dive before dinner and saw some amazing fish and coral, completing our diving tests for the day! We all loved our first experience diving and cant wait to keep diving throughout the Caribbean. For dinner, Vittoria cooked a delicious Greek meal with all our new provisions, and we all agreed this was one of the best meals of the semester. Today was such a reviving day after a long passage and BA, and we cant wait to see what else Barbados has in store for us!
