Hello everyone! Weve had such an eventful day, and I cant wait to tell you all about it. Some people woke up early to go snorkeling with manta rays! The rest of us got up on time and ate a delicious breakfast of zucchini pancakes, courtesy of Anna Staff, then jumped straight into Seamanship, where we learned our ABCs. Later in the morning, those of us working towards our advanced open water did our Fish ID dive while everyone else had some downtime to study or hang out around the boat. After lunch, we had Marine Biology and learned about fish. Then, the people who stayed on the boat this morning (the rescue divers) went out to work on their skills. The rest of us remained on the boat and had some time to relax. Our next passage will be student-led, so after dinner, we elected other students to serve as our captain (Penelope), chief mate (Sandra), and watch team leaders (Jack, Makena, Olivia, Kelsey, and Max). I cant believe we are already at day 74; this is my last day as skipper. The time is absolutely flying by. I hope everyone at home is safe and doing well!!
