Location: Prickly Bay, Grenada

Today, we arrived at the southernmost point of our trip, Grenada, just below 12N. We spent three days on the high seas traveling from Nevis to arrive here. It was three days of wonderful sailing, yet we were all happy to see the sweet sight of the Island. As we arrived in the wee hours of the morning, we were greeted by calm and balmy weather. However, as we approached the southern tip of Grenada, squalls started rolling in on us. We had to muster all hands to strike the sails and get the anchor ready. It was an intense, thrilling, wet, and overall great moment. Once the squalls passed, we motored into Prickly Bay and dropped a hook. We then spent the afternoon doing a BA (boat appreciation), giving Ocean Star a large clean, and just generally showing some love and thanks for the voyage she had just made. The BA was followed by an afternoon swim and a meeting to organize the next week or so of our trip.
