Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Alexa, happy birthday to you!!!!! Yessss Alexas 18th, how exciting!!! The day started off with eggs, sausages, and fruit made by Henry. Then, after the cleanup, we had a joint class! What? Yeah, thats right, Kyler, and Perry were teaching us about estuaries. What is an estuary you might ask, its a semi enclosed embayment where salt water and fresh water meet. Theyre very important nurseries for young fish, cool, right? After class, we had lunch, which was chicken fettuccine Alfredo with breadsticks, which was amazing!! Then it was time to get excited, were going snorkeling with turds(turtles)!!! We quickly got ready to dinghy over to the turtle sanctuary, and right as we arrived, there was a little green sea turtle coming to say hi, how adorable:) We spent a nice afternoon swimming about and saw a bunch of turtles, some huge starfish, a couple of baby lemon sharks, and lots of fish. It was awesome. When we got back, Mac and the staff had a huge surprise for us A beach barbecue!!! Once we got to the beach, Mac, Kyler, and Emma started grilling right away. We got burgers, hot dogs, dogs, and another surprise, fresh lobster!! After some ultimate frisbee and beach volleyball, it was time to sing Alexa happy birthday with her cake, how exciting. Later on, after some stargazing and a quick swim, we found out that Mac and Sam came to the same exact beach on their student trip, which was a really cool full circle moment:) Bye-bye blog
