Today was started during spooky watch (12-4), where my watch team shared stories of cannibalism, cheese men, stalkers, ghosts, and the headless horsemen. This definitely made the time go by, as well as some hard sleep afterward. As we got up the next watch team, Ally grabbed some decorations because today was Mad’s birthday! Last night, Maddy had everyone write out little notes and drawings of energy drinks to decorate Mad’s bunk. And today, when Mads first woke up, we sang Happy Birthday to her. Throughout the day, there were various celebrations, topped off with a brownie cake made by Frida! During the squeeze, we also all went around to give an appreciation to her. Some other highlights of the day: We took our VHF certification test today, which went smoothly for most. many movies were watched, and there was a big gaming sesh after class, which included Coup (Asa, there’s a coup on board!), Catan, and poker. I had the opportunity to borrow Jakes’s flash drive and download all of New Girl and some movies that I have been meaning to see. And there was a big rainbow at dinner, which was such a nice end to the day. This is our last full day for this passage, and I would say this passage was so fun and went by faster than the last one.
