Location: Sandy Spit

Today, we woke up at 7:15 and had breakfast of French toast and fruit made by Jack and James. It was scrumptious. After clean-up, the non-certified divers gathered in the salon. They watched thrilling PADI videos while the certified divers (Lauren, Devin, Shanley, and I) had free time to do whatever we wanted. After the thrilling PADI videos, we all gathered, took up the anchor, and headed to Sandy Spit. On our way to Sandy Spit, we saw two dolphins!! We had lunch underway, which consisted of chicken burritos and fruit. After our outstanding lunch, the non-certified divers separated into two groups and were taken out for their first skill dive!!! The certified divers went for a splendid snorkel and beach exploration. We saw numerous fish, crabs, and snails. We also explored an abandoned boat onshore. Once back on Ocean Star, we learned how to tie certain knots that will be important to know for sailing. After knot-tying 101, we took showers and ate a delicious dinner of stir fry. It was awesome!! The squeeze question I chose for tonight was, “Who is the most important person in your life and why.” I chose my dad. After clean-up, the non-certified divers watched more thrilling PADI videos. Alright, well, that’s it for now. Peace and love.
