Location: English Harbor, Antigua
Hello, Mom, Dad, Chloe, and the Grandparents
We FINALLY made it to Antigua after a quite long passage. Everyone woke up at 7:30 this morning to calm blue water and the beautiful sight of nearby land. After eating a delicious breakfast of blueberry muffins and yogurt, it was time to have some fun. There has been a fairly boat-wide request for some time now to do a rope swing. Today was that day, and it was awesome. We swung the tied rope to the main boom, then lifted it extra high before swinging it out over the water. Everyone from the Catamaran came on over, and we started swinging. It took some time to develop the right swinging technique, but once we got it, people quickly started ripping backies/backflips (or at least attempting to). We had a race to climb the rope and get on top of the boom. Eric from Ocean Star beat out Griff from the Cat and won himself a nice bag of Skittles. Then Lil Nick and I had a go which ended with me winning a lollipop (as expected). After some time, the advanced open water divers finished and left us to go on a dive and finished out their certification (congrats!). Kat from the catamaran, who has had ear troubles, also finished her Open Water! Around noon we packed up, raised the anchor, and moved to a dock on a different part of the island (it has showers!!). Next was boat prep for the storm tomorrow. We tied some things down and added some extra docking lines and fenders to keep us very secure in the wind and rain. The day was finished off with some delicious red chicken curry and rice, plus a well-needed rinsing of everyones water bottles. Now I am going to leave that way I can take a desperately needed shower and do some CPR training on these mannequins.
Cya,
Tevon
P.S. I love you, Chloe, Mom, and Dad. I know you guys like to imagine that I am going to die, but I promise you I will be fine.
