Location: Underway to Devils Island
It’s day 46, which means we are OVER HALF WAY DONE WITH PROGRAM?!?! Today has been a very gloomy day, which is actually quite the blessing because with the gloom came cooler temperatures and most importantly LOTS OF WIND!!! We are sailing FAST today, which has been a ton of fun. After lunch, we had a marine biology test, which went pretty well. After our test, we had seamanship where we learned how to do running fix problems. We also had bunk inspections today, and it was the first day that all the students got all 5’s. Round of applause to the boys for finally figuring that out. Keep it up. I think we have 2-3ish? Days until we get to Devil’s Island. We will only be there for a day, but I sure am excited to swim (if I’m able to make myself forget that the waters are shark-infested). I wish I had more to share, but that’s all I’ve got for now.
