Location: Martin's Bay, Grenada
This morning we woke up to Ed Sheeran and pancakes (emphasis on the cake). Following breakfast, we had Marine Biology, where we learned about seaweeds and marine flowering plants such as seagrasses and mangroves. After class, we pulled anchor and moved Ocean Star from Prickly Bay to Martin’s Bay, Grenada. Once anchored in our new spot, we had delicious vegetable soup for lunch. We then went over the first section of our PADI Advanced Open Water course: boat diver.
We successfully launched the dinghy Irv without the help of the staff members, and Tee and Kristin had a small dance party before we happily spent the rest of the afternoon studying and going to shore to explore. Unfortunately, being Sunday, everything except the grocery store and a few restaurants was closed. Nevertheless, Tee, Alex, Matille, and I managed to find some ice cream and bonded over our love of it. Heading back towards the meet-up spot, we ran into the others from our boat and sat around talking about the good times we’ve had so far until Smudge picked us up to go back to the boat. We then quickly rinsed off and had dinner before having Oceanography before turning in for the night.
