Location: Bequia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines
The day started like any other. A 3 AM to 4 AM anchor watch followed by me waking the entire boat up with Feliz Navidad. Something about today was different, but for the longest time, I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. There was this feeling aboard Argo like we had gained a man in our crew. And then, like the rogue wave we hit crossing the Atlantic, it hit me. Brian turns 18 years old today on this day November 28th of the year 2020. The energy was high and Happy Birthday was sung a total of five times. We had beautiful blue skies with gorgeous clouds as part of the morning’s celebrations. We cruised over to the island of Bequia today, which is pronounced like Beckway. In other news, 15 students went scuba diving for their first time ever! Smash, Tim, and Amanda took the non-certified divers in the water for their first confined water skills session. The rest of us prepared for Thanksgiving tomorrow by triple taste testing everything. At this point, I know what you are thinking. Wasn’t Thanksgiving two days ago? Yes, you are correct but did you just cross an entire ocean, and if you did, did you have three turkeys stored in your freezer? To my dearest Mother, I miss you greatly! To all other mothers who are missing their beloved kids, feel free to send my mom an email at [email protected]. I know she could really use this right now. A Merry Turksgiving, and to all a good Bri!
