Location: Athens, Greece
Early this morning, 23 eager and slightly exhausted students boarded a bus on a journey to the center of the world. Well, the Ancient Greek world, at least. The Temple of Apollo in Delphi was not only the epicenter of Ancient Greece, but it was and continues to be a place of magnificent natural beauty. Nestled in incredible mountains were two thousand-year-old monuments to a few of the deities that were a daily part of Greek life. From the moment we left the bus, there was hushed awe, and the feeling of walking on the hallowed ground never left us. Having traveled to many places, I have to say that Delphi was by far one of the most incredible spots I have ever encountered, and I know it will be a place of history that will live on real and palpable in our ARC students for a long time to come.
