This morning was another early start for the crew. We started our day with breakfast and catching the dinghy to land, where we were met by our amazing fruit tour guides. The tour started with smelling cinnamon leaves and tasting nutmeg which was interesting. We carried on with a beautiful tour of the island driving through the small colorful towns and tropical forests. Our driver stopped on the side of the road a few times to pick the fruits off the trees for us. My personal favorite was the mango. For lunch, we stopped at a local home and were greeted with breadfruit, which I’d never heard of before, chicken, coconut water, and more mangos. The breadfruit was definitely a favorite throughout the crew. After the fruit tour, we began our waterfall adventure starting with the smaller waterfall of the two. We walked for about 10 minutes to a beautiful waterfall in the forest, where we all took a refreshing swim in the cold water. The second waterfall was a bit more of a challenge to get to as we had to rock climb giant slippery boulders to get to the top. This waterfall was both cold at the top with a giant pool but had a hot pool in the middle. The girls spent their time having a photoshoot at the waterfall while the boys practiced their flips from high borders into the falls, round the perfect relaxing day after our long hike yesterday.
