Location: Gustavia, St. Barth's
Today was our last day in Gustavia, St. Barths. We started with a double dose of class and had an oceanography quiz. After that, we had some free time to study or go to shore until lunch. Esther and Dan whipped up some delicious tuna salad sandwiches for us. The rest of the afternoon was left open. One group went on an optional dive, and Beaker took some solid spiny head blenny pics. The rest of the crew went into town or walked to Shell Beach for some swimming. At 4:30, we got the boat ready to sail to Statia in the morning in record time. We’re really starting to get the hang of things. The master chefs made Spanish omelets for dinner, and now we’re cleaning up and getting ready for an OCE class. It’s sad to leave the fancy island of St. Barth’s, but we’re also looking forward to yet another new place. No Jimmy Buffet sightings on this visit. I heard he was in Panama. Maybe the next crew will get to hang out on board his yacht, the Continental Drifter.
