Good morning, afternoon, or evening, whenever you are reading this. Today was quite the day. The day started as usual: 7:00 AM wakeups, the typical morning grog, and food ready to be Gophed up on deck. Meg made a delicious hodgepodge of what was left before reprovisioning. There was everything from eggs and some sauteed veggies, to the classic yogurt/milk and granola.
Moving right along, the rest of the morning was dedicated to research. Each student broke out into their research project groups, and it was time to collect data for the first time. I cant speak for every group, but mine in particular was a blast. Teo, Bryson, and I donned our snorkeling gear while Matthew and Gianlucca gathered the necessary equipment to begin research.
I should also mention that any and every free moment today was spent diligently reviewing notes. It was a mad scramble for the carabiner of class flash drives. There was not one but two tests/quizzes today. Naturally, as college-age students, there is a procrastination factor that shows its face on days like today. It was nice to have grilled cheese sandwiches, chefed by our captain Nick, ready as a break between research and class time.
After lunch, there were two tests/quizzes. The seamanship sail theory quiz and the second Fish ID quiz took place shortly after lunch. I would say the study chaos was the main focus of today, if it wasnt for the Laundromat about a mile from Argo. Immediately following the seamanship test, it was a mad dash for all 22 students to the five active washing machines and two dryers. Truly a one-of-a-kind experience, only Sea|mester could offer.
The rest of the day consisted of an amazing taco bowl dinner, a quick cleanup, some diving paperwork, and a nice warm shower. Everyones excited to see Alhambra tomorrow. A big day like that requires some quality sleep.

Mom, Dad, Chase, Rachel, Nolan, Brody, Ryder, love you guys, miss you all.
