Location: Prickly Bay, Grenada
After days of time on shore in Grenada, the crew finally spent the day hanging out on Ocean Star. First came breakfast eggs and salami on toast followed by Marine Biology. After class, everyone buckled down to work on papers for Leadership and Marine bio until lunch ingredients made it back to the boat. The crew enjoyed a huge lunch of gyros, and then agreed on the afternoons activity: Boom swinging. This involves raising the boom and lowering a line from it that crew members can hold on to and swing off the deck into the ocean. It was a big setup, but well worth the trouble, and proved to be a new Ocean Star attraction. Later on, the crew moved into shower time and dinner preparation, and ended the evening with homemade mac and cheese. It was awesome.
