Location: Gorda Sound, Virgin Gorda
So far this trip has been too good to be true. Today started out with one of my favorites: breakfast burritos. After eating, we had our first MTE class and furthered our knowledge of the ship. We used our newly learned skills to sail over to Gorda Sound. Although we encountered some rain, the views were incredible and we sailed with ease. We ate lunch under the shade of the sails and headed in to anchor for our next adventure. We had an interesting briefing on the mangroves along the shore, and then jumped in and snorkeled around them. We took some measurements, noted some species and saw a lot of cool organisms. Later we had dinner with an awesome cake for Kris’s birthday and this evening well celebrate with a trip to shore.
