Location: Road Town, Tortola, BVI

Now, it seems we are reaching the end of our epic journey. We awoke bright and early and dove right into the Nav Master exam, which took us all the way to lunch. But, before we could eat, we decided to slip our mooring in Great Harbor Peter and move to the safe harbor of Road Town to prepare for an incoming storm. On the short 40-minute motor over, we got a little taste of what mother nature could do. Dashing us with driving rain and winds, she did her worst, but the Ocean Star rose to the challenge with Dan’s ever-steady hand at the helm. There was not a drop of anguish in anyone’s heart. The little squall cleared as quickly as it came, and we slipped into the little harbor of Road Town. After a bit of free time and a VHF operator’s exam, we are now sitting down to the “Closing Program.” It is quite surreal that this is almost over.
