Location: Charlestown, Nevis
For breakfast today Kate treated us to Creme Brule french toast, which turned out to be a great combination. The crew then mustered in the cockpit for MTE class followed by our first OCE class of the day. After class we boarded the dinghy’s and made our way to shore. A short taxi ride brought us to the Golden Rock Resort which served as the starting point for our first inland hike of the trip. We traversed the jungle paths for a couple of hours before we reached our destination, “the source”. This mountain stream provides water for the entire island of Nevis. The narrow slippery path made for slow going, but the scenery was well worth the hike. After returning to Ocean Star the crew made the boat ready for tomorrow’s passage to Dominica. The process took no time at all as the crew is really starting to come together. For dinner we had eggs, potatoes and ham to give dinner a breakfast vibe. After dinner we mustered for our second OCE class of the day with Beaker and Mike. It was a tiring but full day of adventure, which is what we have come to expect here on Ocean Star.
