Our first morning in Nevis was spent doing boat appreciation while Dan went and cleared customs. We scrubbed Ocean Star from top to bottom including washing away the “tears” of rust that had formed on the deck near the bow. We were supposed to have a lunch ashore but since breakfast was a little late due to a propane shortage, we ended up eating onboard. After lunch we had optional shore time. Most went ashore while some stayed back to do schoolwork. As usual, we had afternoon showers on deck followed by an early Mexican Night, which was probably my favorite dinner so far. We spent the evening doing CPR and First Aid in the cockpit which was rather arduous, but we all made it through.
