Location: Port Elizabeth, Bequia

Today, after a “late” 8:30 wake up, we all gathered in the salon to take the IYT International Competent Crew exam/certification. Once we finished, we continued to prep the boat for the 6-hour sail to Bequia. We enjoyed a lunch made by Pro chef Kylie Barrows, of pesto pasta, and Caprese salad, then continued to sail, practicing tacking, until we finally arrived. All exhausted and sweaty, the chefs along with a few other students, prepared a boat version of “eggplant parmesan”… surprisingly, everyone was impressed and left dinner with happy bellies. We then had Leadership class and scheduled what the next few days would look like in Bequia. Finally, we went to bed, excited for the 10 am late wake up the following day.
