Location: Les Saintes
Today we departed from Dominica, leaving the tropical island with great accomplishments, experiences, and piles of exotic fruit in Ocean Star’s galley. Our passage to Les Saints began around 8am this morning, a full rainbow at our stern and calm waters ahead. The group, lounging in the sun, listening to music, kept their eyes out for whales and other muh-muh marine mammals throughout the passage, though unfortunately none were spotted. Around 2pm we arrived at Les Saints, a French archipelago just south of Guadeloupe. We have yet to go ashore, but I can tell from the uniformly red roofs and quaint island architecture, as well as the staff’s stories of fantastic baguettes and coffee, that our day tomorrow onshore will be a good one.
