Location: English Harbour, Antigua
Our day started off with an MTE dock walk with Simon and Kate early this morning. With coffee in hand, we walked around English and Falmouth Harbours, admiring the boats and learning about the different rigs and how they all work. After that, we returned to the boat for breakfast, and then we had some time to have our last shore-based showers and relax for a bit before moving Ocean Star off the dock and anchoring in nearby Freeman’s Bay. We spent the rest of the day getting the boat ready to sail to Green Island tomorrow and catching up on some schoolwork. The rescue diver candidates continued some work which we will be getting on with in Green Island, and the rest of the shipmates caught up on their OCE projects and spent the afternoon relaxing. We are about to have an OCE class where we will watch The Deadliest Catch’ to go along with last night’s lecture on world fisheries. Tomorrow we are off to Green Island for some diving and exploring.
