Salutations to the friends and family of the Argo transatlantic crew!

I am pleased to share that it has been another fantastic day on the Atlantic, and that spirits remain as high as the day we departed the BVI’s (despite recent head inconveniences). Today, my day began with the 8 am watch and a bowl of Frosted Flakes. Emily and Avery sat on bow watch, closely monitoring the storm ahead, while Alex was on the helm. A few hours later, reality struck, and the faraway rain clouds were now directly above us, prompting a spontaneous dance party. Jack took the lead in demonstrating his signature moves, and Logan and Lizzy followed along. Finally, Watch Team 3 came to relieve us of our duties, and we proceeded below deck for a very necessary after-party and lunch.

Head Chef of the day, Maya, prepared a delicious pasta for the crew, which we enjoyed in the comfort of the dry salon. However, it was already time to brave the weather again as it was cleanup o’clock. Galley Gremlin, Lou Lou, ran dishes to saltie washers and dryers, Macie, Mina, Ella, and Alexis, meanwhile, gophers Rooke, Emma, and Lainey proceeded with caution, balancing freshly washed dishes up and down the wet companion way.

After lunch, the whole crew gathered for class and enjoyed a fascinating lecture on charts again! Henry, Hays, and Dylan worked hard plotting coordinates while Brig and Brady took notes. Then, we moved on to Leadership class and created identity maps.

Finally, we ended the day with a quesadilla feast and enjoyed the sunset. Payton, Greyson, and Andrew took over watch responsibilities, assuring we maintain course while the crew got ready for bed.

Thanks for checking in, and stay posted for more shenanigans from the Argo crew!
Lana Lloyd 🙂

PS: Congratulations to Mimi Muffin for completing four consecutive hours on the helm (at her own will)!
