Location: Underway to Christmas Island
Hello Family, Friends, Stalkers,
Day 3 underway to Christmas Islands. 315 nautical miles behind and 275 ahead of us.
I apologize beforehand: Writing is not my thing, and English is my second language, so please bear with me :).
Today was a great day. I started off with a 4-hour watch from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Although the hours didn’t seem to fly by, we still had a lot of fun talking, listening to music, and relaxing in the not-yet-burning sun. At 12, Cooper and his incredible Chef Team treated us to a great lunch. Definitely one of the best we have had so far.
After lunch, we once again realized that Argo is not only a beautiful sailing vessel and our home … she is also a college. We had a Test in Seamanship and a Quiz in Oceanography. Since we all spent the last week studying… well the last few days … ok, fine, most of us started this morning, the faces after the tests weren’t too long. In the afternoon, we all enjoyed a saltwater shower on deck, cooling us down from the heat of the now definitely burning sun. We spend the rest of the before dinner with school work, identifying fishes for marine biology, journaling, and some of us just napping.
Just before dinner, I walked up to the bow to keep the bow watchers in some company. As I came closer, I realized they were listening to the music of “The Greatest Showman.” The scene quickly developed into a small musical singalong with the sun setting into the endless ocean and turning the sky orange in the background definitely one of the moments I will never forget.
That is it from me today … Greetings from the flying fishes and Dolphins.

P.S.: I love and miss you. Mom, T., T., and A.
