Location: Mayreau - Bequia
We had an early breakfast this morning so we could set sail and be on our way to Bequia as soon as possible. Chris’s breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes went down well with the crew, and after breakfast, we set the main, staysail, and jib. There was enough wind that even without the foresail, we were heeling over pretty far. There was some excitement in striking the main. The sail dropped too fast and broke off its track, letting it run up and down the mast. With some quick thinking by Simon, it was an easy fix. Megan went provisioning with Kirsty, and the rest of us did a boat appreciation to remove some of the wear from Ocean Star. Dinner was chili, but Chris also cooked up some cookies for dessert. Delicious. We have a scheduling meeting later tonight that will take us to 36 today. The time seems to be flying by. And another quick note, the telltale should be finished shortly and provide a more detailed account of some of the things we have been up to.
