It’s currently 7 pm, and we had been sailing since 6 pm yesterday. We plan on reaching our destination of Nevis in about 1 hour. These past 24 hours have been rough on almost everyone. The trip has involved rough seas, singing during watches, sweating in the engine room, throwing up, and trying to get sleep in between watches. My watch group, watch group 3, sat helm and did boat checks from 7 pm-10 pm yesterday, 4 am-7 am today, and 1 pm-4 pm today. Every crew member slept in between their watch shifts. It didn’t matter if it was 2 pm or 2 am. Other than watches, not much has been going on. The morale is high, and I think everyone is not only grateful for this experience but also grateful we can see our final destination of Nevis. Sail on……
