This morning we woke up around 7 am and had our dive gear ready by 7:15. After a quick breakfast, different dive groups headed out to get a few more skills under their belt to further their certification. Once everyone returned, we brought up the anchor and headed over to Spanish town to clear customs. After our captain, Steve cleared us out; we finished preparing for our overnight passage. We learned how to prepare Ocean Star for long passages and how to do hourly boat checks. The entire day was built up with anticipation for the next 24 hours at Sea. Leaving Spanish town, we were met with some choppy waters, but everyone managed to keep it together for a bumpy dinner. Tonight group watches begin, and I’m sure some seasickness as well. So far this trip has been a dream, and I can’t wait for what’s in store next!
Best, Liz (Skipper of the Day)
