Location: Mossel Bay, South Africa

Today we finished our last Oceanography class with presentations of our group projects. All of us are relieved to have only marine biology left, along with leadership. After class, we had free time onshore, and I can say that the numerous coffee shops here in Mossel Bay were greeted by someone from Argo at least once or twice in the past three days there have been other shops that we’ve frequented like The Hippy Store and a Biltong place. This afternoon we all got together and did an onshore activity that Hans planed. We realized that the last time we all got together and did something like this was way back in Kupang. What we did was sandboarding. It’s like snowboarding but in the sand. The photos don’t even come close to justifying what the experience was and the amount of intense fun we had. We did a race against all of us, and it was one of the most exhilarating things I have ever done after sailing across the Indian, of course. We also have sand literally everywhere, and dinner tonight was a bit crunchy, if you catch my drift.
