Location: Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda
Today, the crew of Ocean Star set out on our first voyage from Tortola over to Savannah Bay, Virgin Gorda. We learned a lot of new information about how life on a ship works, as well as the duties to which we are assigned. Although the drills were hard work, it was a lot of fun getting to know each other and sailing between the islands. Once we reached Savannah Bay, everyone was given a break to relax. Most of the crew members took advantage of this time by going for a swim. While snorkeling, many cool animals were spotted, such as a stingray and starfish. Tonight, we will begin the Open Water SCUBA diver course. Tomorrow is our first confined water dive!
