Today the crew, or at least most of the crew, took their first breaths underwater on their first of many dives. We all practiced the skills we have been learning these past few days while weighted to remain on the bottom. The first two confined water dives went swimmingly well, and we expect the remaining three to be even better. The two of us who do have previous diving experience went off with Nick and had an adventure of our own, where we found the beginnings of a reef on an upturned lawn chair, raced across the sandy bottom with our fins off, and saw a very small seahorse right before we ended our dive.
