What’s up, everyone? Today started early with watch team 3 with the 4-8 watch, which is definitely my favorite by far. My morning started off pretty fishyliterally. Aboard Argo, we get many uninvited visitors, mostly flying fish and squid, and while I was on the helm, Ben managed to sneak a flying fish down my back, and I had no idea. Within 10 minutes, I got a fishy scent, which I couldn’t track down. I conducted the most thorough deck inspection to trace the source of the scent, but it was to no avail. Thirty minutes in, I started to get frustrated and accused my watch team members of not showering because I thought the most logical explanation was that the scent was one of them (sorry, Nicole). Ben took me down below and told me I had something on my PFD, and when I loosened the straps, a flying fish fell out, and we both burst out laughing hysterically. We later put the fish up, not the sail, the actual fish, and when the sleep-deprived watch team 1 mustered in mid-ships for their pre-watch briefing, it took them 5 minutes to realize that a fish was hanging less than 10 feet from their heads.

After watch I had the opportunity to catch up on some much needed sleep, after my nap we enjoyed some peanut noodles that were cheffed up by Sylver which were delectable. Post lunch we all headed up on deck to put up the main which was really fun, I was stoked to see all my crewmates cheering Zac and I on while were were sweating the main haliard which aged my body by about 10 years. I had a busy day in the classroom between a fish ID quiz in marine bio class and leading the class in leadership; I enjoyed teaching because we ended up playing mafia for the last bit of class after talking about relational leadership.

After class, I had some time to plot my assassination attempt in the engine room with a hammer; I plan to carry out my plan in 30 minutes. Other than that Chef Sylver came in clutch again which another bangingmeal this time Bibimbap, they reccomended putting korean chilli sauce on which most of did which we later regreted. My squeeze question tonight was, “When was a time you felt out of your comfort zone but enjoyed it after?” My answer was going on scary rollercoaster rides with friends at Busch Gardens with my friends, and my daily appreciation was actually the prank Ben pulled on me, believe it or not.

Also, to Ma and Pa, William, Cubby, and whoever else may be reading this, I love you all and am having the time of my life.
