Hiii, it’s your local skipper, Sabrina. Thank you, Emily and Teagan, for writing part of the blog, as I’m a little under the weather to have a lot to say. For BA today, I scrubbed the deck and cleaned my bunk that was in need of some tlc. I also threw in some roach-preventing tablets into the bilges.
A little cold plunge/ocean shower with Samantha definitely cheered me up, so thank you, Samantha!
Now off to cramming for our marine bio test tomorrow that I’m so gonna fail :’)
Hi!! It is halfway day! Sabrina needed a little help writing the blog today, so I (Emily) decided to help out. Sabrina started this morning with lovely wake-ups and kept the lights off, considering everyone despises it when people turn the lights on in the morning, when it’s dark, crazy, I know. Shane made eggs, bacon, peppers, and potatoes for breakfast, which was delectable, and we dove into what needed to be done for Boat Appreciation Day today. I personally love Boat Appreciation Day because I get to play the music and clean the gally and salon for 6 hours just like I do at home! BA days I would consider generally more chill days compared to constantly on go on regular days when we are anchored. I got to clean my bunk, and after cleaning my bunk, I took the most beautiful nap and dreamed about my bed at home. Anywho, with the crossing coming up, I have been thinking lots about my friends and family at home. miss you guys! -Emily
Hey guysss it’s Teagan now!! I got the privilege of being part of the amazing team of Alexa, Rachel, Emily, Samantha, and Fish cleaning the galley BA! The galley is the place always in need of a good BA day because people are always in and out making meals or snacks during watch. We started with the spice cabSam’s (Sam’s favorite), and then we moved on to the freezer and fridge. I got to climb in both and scrape off all the ice and snow and wipe everything off before putting all our food back in. I definitely didn’t think I was going to be making a snowman in Morocco, but here we are! After a long day of work, the galley is sparking!
Happy Birthday, John! Love you -Samantha
