My day today started promptly at midnight with a 12-4 watch. Luckily, I rationed my chocolate well enough that we could share some during one of Lukas’s many stories. Dan did another 4-hour helm and saved the life of a flying fish during our midnight shift. I was woken up by the smell of bacon and eggs as the galley team (Chloe, Emma, and Elis) prepared the most mouthwatering breakfast sandwiches any of us had ever tasted. It’s so good that they received 14 appreciations during the squeeze tonight. After lunch, I really got into skipper mode by helming alone and jamming out to my tunes during clean-up. We had a double science class day that we all got through due to the rare occurrence of the AC being on.
Politics on the boat are reaching a climax as the elections for our student-led passage are happening tomorrow. The gauntlet of fire was posted last night, and many names are already in the running. Jesse and I will be going head-to-head for the engineer position. The race for skipper is looking heated between James and Brendan, and six people are currently neck and neck for three navigator positions. Chief Mate is where the true debate is; however, Grace C, Theo, Watson, and Elis will all be making their cases to determine who will lead the sail handling.
Mich led some study sessions this afternoon. Grace N, Cat, Liam, Amy, and I all worked through some vocab terms in preparation for our quiz tomorrow. Our last round of NavMaster exams is tomorrow, so Lillian and Talia spent most of their free time practicing with the charts. We are all proud of our two PSCT students, Grace C and James, who both passed their exams in under 90 minutes! Although we were all tired from our rotating watch and class schedules, we were still able to have a mini rave after cleaning up last night and were thoroughly entertained by Jesse, Dan, and James’ moves. I have never seen so many variations of the frat flick.

To my mom, dad, and everybody else following my adventures, I love and miss you so much. Cant to talk to you soon. Oh, and shout out, Earle.
