On Ocean Star, we did boat appreciation, meaning that all day we got the opportunity to give our BEAUTIFUL ship a good deep scrub. In the midst of all of the cleaning and running around, we had M^3 in the galley, cooking us some of the most amazing food we have had aboard this vessel. Meg, Meg, and Maris cooked us some stuffed bell peppers, and we had pancakes for dinner, which was very special as it took 3 hours. Throughout the day, we had a few of our crew go on fun adventures to the clinic and do some more practice diving. The folk who went to the clinic got some local cuisine, KFC, and had a very eventful taxi ride. Among the cleaning and the dance parties, we had two of our crew do a little bit of catching up on dive skills, and it went incredibly; they even got to see a lionfish!!

During our clean-up, we got the opportunity to clean and reorganize our bunks, meaning we got clean sheets!!! We also scrubbed the floors and got to venture into the bilges and give them a good scrub and bailing if needed. This morning, one crew saw a flying fish land on deck in the middle of the night. Fortunately, they were able to save the fish. Unlike last night everyone got a full night’s rest and was recharged and ready to go this morning. While the crew was hard at work, the staff was working hard to make sure we had enough provisions for a while and that the menus we all prepared for the next few weeks, and that we were prepared for the next weeks of projects and papers ahead. It was an amazing day.
