IYT Navmaster day! Today was the final sailing exam for the shipmates. It tests their navigation theory and involves calculating course to steers, estimating position, dead reckoning, three point fixes and solving tidal and current problems. The exam is not an easy one, but those who pass will gain the IYT Navmaster certification on top of the International Crew Certificate that they have all already achieved. The end of this exam also marks the end of the shipmates finals. Once finished Ocean Star will slip her mooring in Great Harbor Peter, where she has sat for the last 3 days, and proceed on her final sail of the Seamester down the Sir Francis Drake Channel for some well deserved fun time. Best of luck to all of the Shipmates!
