Location: Underway to Mauritius
Day 7 of passage started with a great Indian meal for lunch, chefed up by Sam O; The naan was very good. Following lunch, we had a very interesting oceanography class. Alex taught us all about waves, including rough waves, tsunamis, and what creates waves. Everyone found this pretty intriguing, considering we are headed to South Africa, which is known for big swells. We also had seamanship today, where we began our Nav Master. Our Nav Master consist of many different skills which include, plotting coordinates, reading charts, and chart work. Today we practiced plotting coordinates, which is a very useful skill that we use every time we are on watch. The group looks forward to continuing to expand our Nav Master knowledge. After class and showers, we had another great meal, chicken tandoori.
Overall today was another chill day on passage. We are hoping some wind will come our way soon!
